Financial Giving Opportunity

  • Mission of the Month Offering January– Heifer Project International
    • The mission offering for January is Heifer Project International.  This is a great ministry that helps communities both here in the United States and abroad.  The purpose of Heifer is stated in their materials the following:

“We empower families to turn hunger and poverty into hope and prosperity – but our approach is more than just giving them a handout. Heifer links communities and helps bring sustainable agriculture and commerce to areas with a long history of poverty. Our animals provide partners with both food and reliable income, as agricultural products such as milk, eggs and honey can be traded or sold at market.”

A gift to Heifer can be made anytime during the month.  Make sure you designate your gift.

  • Mission  of the Month Offering February – Week of Compassion
    • The mission of Week of Compassion is the relief fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada seeking to equip and empower disciples to alleviate the suffering of others through disaster response, humanitarian aid, sustainable development and the promotion of mission opportunities.  Week of Compassion has been responding to need both domestically and internationally for over seven decades.  Rush Creek has been a long supporter of this outreach effort that directly impacts the lives of families and communities across the world.  Supporting Week of Compassion is a wonderful way to support those who need help the most all around the world.  The primary offering will be collected on Sunday February 4.  You can give any time during February by designating your gift to Week of Compassion-Feb Mission Offering.

On-Going Mission Opportunities

Meals on WheelsMeals on Wheels

  • Each week members of our church deliver Meals on Wheels on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.  It is a great way to care for families in our own back yard of Arlington, TX.
  • Our church delivers on both days and has a pool of people that rotate delivering the meals.  You may contact Jo Carolyn McVeigh if you are interested in helping with this ongoing ministry of Rush Creek.
