Message from the Rush Creek Moderator

Dear Rush Creek families,

The Steering Committee has decided that, in the interest of the health and safety of our congregation, the church facility will remain closed to in-person gatherings through the month of May. We will continue virtual services at least through May 31. While Gov. Abbott has lifted church closures, he is continuing to limit capacity to 25%. Derek Tompkins has done a wonderful job of orchestrating and producing our online services, which reach 100% of our congregation and perhaps more!

This Sunday will be Chris Wilson’s final sermon with us. And as disappointed as we are at saying goodbye, we wish he and his family many blessings on their new adventure. In the meantime, we have many wonderful volunteer ministers who have offered to share a message with us through the end of the month.

May 10 – Kristin Burrow

May 17 – Youth Sunday/Derek Tompkins

May  24 – Gaylene Christie

May 31 – Joey Stewart

We are grateful for these pastors who will be helping us while we work to fill the interim minister position. (Hopefully, we will have more to share soon on that front!)

Please continue to mail in your gifts and pledges, or send electronically through your bank. The work of the church continues, and there is much need out there that we as a generous church community can address.

Grace and peace,

Heidi Cannella
